Terms of Use
Last updated: October 28, 2026. By using the CotizSolida app, you accept these terms.
1. Purpose
The CotizSolida app, published by KASSEM&CO SARL, lets you organize and keep track of tontines (members, contributions, payout order, pots) and collections among relatives and friends for an event (contributions, goal, deadline), together with their history.
CotizSolida is a record-keeping tool. It never receives, holds, transfers or keeps users’ money. Payments are made outside the app, directly between the people concerned (mobile money, bank transfer, cash…).
Collections are reserved for people invited by the organizer (family, friends, colleagues, association). They must not be used for public fundraising.
CotizSolida is open to users in all countries and is available in French, English and Spanish. Each user is responsible for complying with the rules of their own country that apply to tontines and collections.
2. Access and account
You sign in with a phone number verified by a code received via WhatsApp or SMS. Each user is responsible for their phone, their SIM card and keeping the code confidential.
The app is reserved for adults. The information provided (name, number) must be accurate.
3. Role of the organizer
The organizer creates the tontine, adds the members and confirms the contributions they have actually received. The organizer alone is responsible for running their tontine, collecting the money and handing over the pots.
By adding a member, the organizer guarantees that this member has agreed to take part. Each member must register in the app with their own number.
4. Subscription
Using the organizer features requires a monthly subscription paid in advance (Small, Medium and Large plans, at the prices shown in the app in FCFA, euros or US dollars depending on the user’s country). Members pay nothing.
If the current month is not paid, the organizer’s tontines are blocked: they can still be viewed, but no contribution can be recorded and no tontine can be created.
Unless the law provides otherwise, a month that has started is not refunded.
5. Operating rules
To guarantee transparency, a tontine cannot be deleted once created, and its amount, currency, frequency and members can no longer be changed. All actions are recorded in a log that no one can modify.
Each tontine or collection has its own currency. Only the CFA franc and the euro can be mixed in the same tontine or collection: conversion is then made at the fixed rate of €1 = 655.957 FCFA. Transfer fees are not included.
6. Liability
KASSEM&CO SARL is not a party to the agreements between the members of a tontine. It cannot be held liable for a missed payment, a delay, fraud or a dispute between members. The tontine log can be used as a source of information in case of disagreement.
The publisher makes its best efforts to keep the app working properly, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
7. Suspension
The publisher may suspend an account in case of fraud, abusive use or breach of these terms.
8. Personal data
The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, available from the “About” screen.
9. Changes to the terms
These terms may change. Users are informed of important changes in the app.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Côte d’Ivoire, where the publisher is established. This choice does not deprive consumers of the protection granted to them by the mandatory rules of the law of their country of residence (for example, for residents of the European Union, the GDPR and EU consumer law).
Failing an amicable settlement, any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Abidjan, subject to the rights granted to consumers by the law of their country of residence.
These terms exist in French, English and Spanish. In case of difference between the versions, the French version prevails, unless mandatory rules provide otherwise.
